“It’s your story, don’t let someone else hold the pen.” This quote i found the other day at a intsta page. This is a beautiful quote. It is indeed your story but sometimes your story can change for any kind of reason. Losing a parent can be in your story. ` You don’t ask for it but someone else had that pen in their hands. This parent ask to leave your life? I don’t think so. So it is easy to say: “don’t let someone else hold the pen!’ Do you think that you can write your story in a other way? In your story, little stories enter and little stories will leave. And these little stories can change your story. Even if you don’t want to.
I understand that you don’t have to give your pen to someone else because it’s your story that you are writing. But the influence from outside is so big that it change your story anyway. And there is nothing you can do about it. You can change it to take the pen and continue with your story. But sometimes someone else puts a little bit of their story inside yours. Even if you don’t want to. And sometimes people will leave your story also when you don’t want to. Sometimes it’s completely out of your hands. And sometimes those people who took your pen give it back to you when you fight for it or when they don’t need it anymore. I think you can write your own story but you have to accept that sometimes someone else has your pen. And you have to take it back as soon as you can. You cannot re-write your story but you can change it a little bit so that it is still your story. Nowadays the influence from outside are so big and so insistent that you have to except sometimes that your story changes. I think for example that losing a parent at the young age you will change your story for life. It can make you stronger but also weaker. When you’re strong. Then you will survive when someone else takes your pen. And you will take it back immediately. When you’re a weak you will not fight immediately to get that pen back.
Writing your own story comes with ups and downs and lessons to be learned. Advice to take. Get wounded and be healed. Maybe healed but left with a scar. It can be a short story but also a very long story. But when you die , hopefully you can say :” I lived my story, and I can close it with a happy end.” Even when you have to give your pen to another person who will write down the end because you’re not be able to it! And that person I hope that is someone who has given his heart to you and you can trust.
In the story you will see happy moments, sad moments, strange moments, awkward moments, moments of love, broking moments and so much more. That called life! Your life! Your story! You have to tell your story so take that pen and keep it!
Just think about it and write to you soon!
